| Installation Of Your Reverse Osmosis System The unit is usually installed underneath the kitchen sink but can sometimes be located in a separate location. If the unit is to be installed in a home that is under construction then it can be located in a specific area away from the kitchen. This will require some pre-planning so that the plumbing can be configured correctly. It is recommended that a certified water technician do the installation. There are many items that will need to be done correctly for the unit to work properly. Ice maker hook up and additional faucets are also an option. Servicing Your Reverse Osmosis System It is very important that the reverse osmosis purifier be properly maintained. All filters will need to be replaced on a scheduled basis and the unit will need to be disinfected during the filter change. The owner can do the interim service which is a pre-filter change and disinfecting but it is recommended that a certified water technician do the annual service. Each time a Mountain Slope Water certified technician performs a service a water analysis is done. This will give a percentage rejection of the reverse osmosis membrane and will establish a trend for how well the unit is working. |
